In just over two months time, one of the most eagerly-anticipated cars of the decade will be released; the Bugatti Chiron.
As it stands, quite a few details about the successor to the Veyron are already known. The marque has confirmed that it will be the world’s most powerful and fastest production car and according to sources, it will be powered by a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine with 1500 hp and 1107 lb-ft on tap. That could make a top speed of 467 km/h (290 mph) achievable.
To bring in the new year, the automaker has released a teaser video dubbed ‘Breaking New Dimensions’. While it fails to reveal any details about the Chiron or what it could look like, it does demonstrate Bugatti’s ambitious goals for the car with it being likened to mountaineers, sky divers and jet airplanes. It also provides us with an excellent look at the Chiron’s official logo, previously seen in stitched form.
Alongside being insanely fast, there’s a chance that the Chiron will be more fuel efficient than the car it replaces thanks to some electric assistance through possibly a dedicated electric motor or at least two electric turbochargers.
Whatever the case may be, it is reported that just 500 units will be produced with each costing at least $2.2 million.
