Callaway is already working on its modified 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS and has released a couple of images and details about the upcoming project.
Dubbed the SC622, Callaway’s package will see the installation of a large supercharger, likely the same 2300 cc TVS supercharger as used in Callaway’s 757 hp Corvette Z06. Complementing this large blower will be a dedicated intercooling system and cold-air intake to lift power from the Camaro’s 6.2-liter V8 to 622 hp, compared to the stock 455 hp.
The Callaway Chevrolet Camaro SC622 will be offered as a complete car with either a manual or automatic transmission and available in both coupe and convertible guises.
Beyond the engine modifications, the car will include a number of bespoke components such as a carbon fiber engine cover, new floor mats, Callaway badging inside and out and bespoke key fobs.
Getting their hands on a new Camaro SC622 will cost customers at least $54,290, $16,995 more than a standard 2016 Camaro SS.
