A thumbnail-sized picture of Lincoln’s new Continental flagship has surfaced online, courtesy of FordInsideNews, but at this point, we cannot vouch for its authenticity.
While the low-res image does look similar to the same-color, quality and size photo of the 2017 MKZ we found on Lincoln’s commercial website, the Continental differs in some key details such as the mirrors, profile lines, headlamp shape and lower front bumper design, so there’s a good chance it’s real.
Nevertheless, from this angle, it looks much closer to the new MKZ than to last year’s more impressive Continental Concept that drew the ire of Bentley’s people, not for its name, but its design similarities to the Flying Spur.
The new Lincoln Continental that will have its world premiere at next week’s Detroit Motor Show is expected to go on sale this Spring offered with a new 400hp 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 shared with the 2017 MKZ.
H/T to Jalopnik!
