Currently, two different films about the life of Enzo Ferrari are already being made – and it seems there will be one for his arch rival, too.

Ambi Group has purchased the rights to the film and will produce it. At this stage, it has been tentatively dubbed “Lamborghini – The Legend” and filming should commence this summer in Italy and other locations around the world.

According to Variety, the film will chronicle Ferruccio’s business life, from Lamborghini’s start as a tractor manufacturer and World War II military vehicle builder right through to the company’s foray into the automotive world. To ensure the film is accurate, Lamborghini’s son, Tonino, will provide consultation.

Discussing the film, producer Andrea Iervolino said “I am very proud to produce a film about an iconic man who had such a profound impact around the world, and left a legacy that lives on in such strong spirit. Ferruccio Lamborghini was a pioneering businessman who brought honor to Italy and helped raise worldwide awareness”.
