KIA was caught by our spies testing the upcoming Soul which is due to a major facelift.
The funky crossover will be revamped in order to stay relevant up until its all-new replacement arrives in 2018.
The update is expected to bring new lights all-around and a set of redesigned bumpers with a cleaner, simpler design. We also expect to see some styling cues derived from the Trail’ster concept shown in early 2015.
A refreshed range of alloy wheels and exterior colors is also on the cards, as well as new tech features that enhance the safety, comfort and connectivity.
KIA announced at this year’s CES the development of their autonomous driving program under the name Drive Wise and its long term goal to offer a fully autonomous vehicle by 2030.
Until then, the Korean company will start launching a series of semi-autonomous systems in the next few years and the mule for the testing them is no other than a specially-prepared Soul EV. This should mean that the facelifted Soul could feature some of this technology when it hits the market.
