Following the Telluride’s world premiere at the Detroit Show, Kia is now showing off its latest concept on the road.
The Telluride is an exercise on how the firm might play with the design language on a production SUV with a similar footprint.
It may have some calling it out as a Bentley lookalike, but underneath, all you will find is a stretched version of the Sorento platform. Kia states that the wheelbase has been stretched by 11.9in to provide extra space for the rear passengers.
As a true 21st century concept, it draws motivation from a plug-in hybrid that combines a 3.5-liter V6 petrol and an electric motor, delivering a total of 400hp (406PS) to the wheels and allowing more than 30mpg US (7.8l/100km) on the highway.
Keep in mind that Kia hasn’t announced any official plans to put the Telluride into production.
