Α more performance-focused version of Hyundai’s small hatchback has just been launched exclusively for the German market.
The i20 Sport is powered by to a 1.0-liter Kappa T-GDI three-cylinder engine with 118 hp and 172 Nm of torque. Acceleration from naught to 100 km/h takes 10.3 seconds, which is quite nifty for its class, and thanks to its small displacement and direct injection, it is very fuel efficient and sips just 5.0-liters of fuel per 100 km.
Beyond its tweaked three-cylinder engine, the i20 Sport has been adorned with a range of new parts to make it stand out. They include 18-inch OZ Racing alloy wheels, a split roof-mounted rear wing, black rear diffuser, extended side skirts and a sharper front bumper. There is also a chrome-tipped tailpipe and a blue, black and white racing-inspired livery and a new suspension which sits 20 mm lower than standard.
The i20 Sport will set German customers back 19,990 euro ($21,600 USD).
