One of just 80 units of the Ferrari 599 SA Aperta produced is currently up for sale from Ferrari of Newport Beach for a casual $1,6 million. That’s more than the original retail price of the 950 hp LaFerrari and exemplifies just how valuable SA Aperta’s are becoming.
Unveiled in 2010 as a drop-top variant of the hardcore Ferrari 599 GTO, the SA Aperta also celebrates the company’s 80th anniversary.
Power from the car is provided by a screaming naturally-aspirated 6.0-liter V12 with 661 hp at 8,250 rpm and 460 lb-ft of torque at 6,500 rpm. Those figures make the 0-62 mph (100km/h) sprint achievable in a mere 3.6 seconds.
This particular example is painted white and includes a number of optional extras from the factory. For example, it has aluminum brake calipers, a range of carbon fiber elements throughout the interior, Bianco (white) instrument panel, front and rear parking sensors, Bianco contrast stitching, black leather and a heat insulating windshield.
While this SA Aperta’s asking price is more than three times its retail cost, there’s a good chance it will continue to gain value in coming years.
