Owners of air-cooled Porsche 911s looking for crazy modifications have the privilege of going to Japanese tuner Rauh-Welt Begriff (RWB) and being offered a wide range of visual treats to suit every desire.
Unfortunately, for owners of modern Porsche sports cars, RWB’s expert craftsman Akira Nakai only works on older 911 bodykits. But if RWB were looking to expand, turning attention to the Porsche Cayman could be quite interesting.
The ultimate Cayman is certainly the GT4, unveiled in February last year. Given how limited production of the model will be and how valuable it could prove in coming decades, we can’t imagine there being many owners willing to irreversibly mess with stock body panels. Nevertheless, through the wonders of Photoshop, Jonsibal has decided to imagine how a Cayman GT4 with an RWB kit could look.
As with all RWB kits, it consists of flared front and rear wheel arches as well as extended side skirts. The front fascia has also been extensively changed and includes a lowered splitter that almost touches the ground, and two large canards on either side. The changes are completed with a towering rear wing and a set of heavily-dished five-spoke matte bronze wheels.
Will RWB ever offer such a kit for the Cayman GT4? Probably not but other tuners may.
