After the A3 cabrio and sedan versions being spied during winter testing, this time, it’s the hatchback’s turn to pose for the camera.
However, don’t expect any surprises here; the Audi A3 is simply rehearsing the clothes of its bigger sibling, the A4.
The A3 is nearing its mid-life update, which in Audi-world means a light refresh on the outside and small updates under the skin, just to keep the brand’s design language up-to-date across the range.
Despite the camo on the prototype, you can see that the refreshed A3 is going to adopt the A4’s front style, with new headlights, new grille and sharper-yet-subtle front and rear bumpers.
The prototype looks like it’s wearing an S-Line body kit, an option for those who want sharper looks for their Audi and a firmer suspension. The facelift is expected to bring minor updates to the cabin too, like Audi’s Virtual Cockpit which replaces the traditional instruments for a high-res configurable TFT screen.
The new Audi A3 is expected to be launched in mid-2016.
