A new Smart ForTwo Brabus is just around the corner and if the numerous spy shots have not convinced you yet, the company’s officials should.

Smart officials confirmed to Top Gear that the Brabus version of the ForTwo is coming, though, we won’t see it in the USA, as in a separate report, a Mercedes-Benz rep told Autoblog that the company has no plans to import it and instead, will offer a “sporty appearance pack” .

Not much has been revealed so far, but the vehicle is expected to gain visual tweaks, along with special suspension and brakes.

Sources within the brand did not say anything about the engine, but previous data hinted towards an updated 0.9-liter turbocharged three-pot or a 1.2-liter turbo unit made by Renault, which should send between 110 and 130hp to the rear wheels, via a standard manual or an optional dual-clutch automatic.

The new Smart ForTwo Brabus is expected to debut this summer and it will be offered, at first, in the coupe version, while the automaker plans to introduce similar variants of the ForFour and ForTwo Cabrio too. By the end of the year, Smart should also pull the wraps off an electric ForTwo as well, which will not have anything in common with the Brabus models.
