Smart has released two new special versions of the Fortwo and Forfour dubbed Edition White and Edition Black for the UK market.

The new special editions are based on the Prime trim line which already includes features like heated leather seats but adds the Urban Style and Premium packages that offer a three-spoke sports steering wheel dressed in leather, brushed aluminum pedals, 16-inch black alloys, chrome tailpipe for the exhaust, rear parking sensors and an infotainment system with European satellite navigation among others.

The Fortwo models come with over £1500-worth of extra kit, priced at £895, representing savings of over £600, while the Forfour models offer £1660-worth of extra equipment (adding rear privacy glass) which ups the savings to over £760.

The Edition White models sport a total white theme on the outside -aside from the wheels- featuring white body panels with a matching tridion cell and front grille. Similarly the Edition Black models offer a murdered out appearance, with customers able to opt for a white tridion cell.

The two new editions can be ordered with either the 71hp engine or the turbocharged 90hp three-cylinder petrol unit, which are offered with a five-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Prices for the Smart Fortwo start at £12,715 and for the Forfour at £13,210 with the first deliveries in the UK expected in late February.
