A 30-year old Chevrolet Corvette can be considered “classic” and this is your opportunity to purchase one whose starting bid is in the four-figure zone.
The sports car is perfect for a weekend project as it had just three owners throughout its lifetime and it has been with its current one since April 2002.
The seller says that the 1985 Corvette hasn’t been registered or inspected since 2008, but the vehicle “runs good and could be driven daily with no real issues“, and is said to be taken out for a spin once a month.
Some of the issues pointed out include the dashboard, which could use a rebuild, the driver’s seat that has duct tape over it and the fuel gauge indicating a full tank since the pump was replaced. However, its current owner says that oil was changed regularly, the car has a complete motor tune-up and “upgraded headlight motor to newer style“.
Under the hood lies a 5.7-liter V8 engine, connected to an automatic transmission, which carried the Corvette for 100,294 miles (161,408km).
The red-finished sports car is found in Plano, Texas, and as usual, the buyer is responsible for picking it up or for shipping. At the time of writing, the vehicle hasn’t attract any interested buyers with its starting bid set at $3,500.
