Now that we know what the all-new Mercedes E-Class looks like, both inside and out, we can once again remind ourselves of a time when this particular car looked completely unlike its bigger and smaller siblings.

Remember that piece we had on the W212 E-Class and how we’re not going to see that degree of separation between Mercedes models in the near future? Readers seemed to share our concern and still appreciated the W212’s dual headlight design and angular lines.

The 2017 model, as great as it probably is and with all that awesome tech, is somewhat less of an “individual” and more of a team player – and that tends to rub certain people the wrong way.

So if you want your car to stand out, despite the fact that it’s an old model and doesn’t even come with a facelift, you might want to consider something that looks a little bit like this black E250 here. Of course it’s got tinted windows and of course it’s been lowered on this set of very elegant ADV.1 MV2 standard series wheels.

The disc is finished in Brushed Face and features a Gunmetal lip, while the dimensions stand at 20×9 at the front and 20×10.5 at the rear.

While we are surprised this isn’t an E63 or even an E500, the E250 could hold its own in terms of efficiency back when it first came out, and was by no means a very slow car. Either way, we’re glad to see that some people still enjoy their W212s.
