2016 Chicago Auto Show’s A-To-Z Guide [Day 2]

If there’s one thing the Chicago Auto Show can brag about is that it’s the largest of its kind in North America covering over 1 million square feet at the McCormick Place. However, in regards to world debuts, it has long fallen behind other major events like the New York, LA and Detroit shows.

This year’s show opens with the press preview on Thursday, February 11 and Friday, February 12, before welcoming the public from Saturday, February 13 through 21.

There’s only a handful of notable world premieres, such as Chevrolet’s new Camaro 1LE and refreshed Trax crossover, Hyundai’s facelifted Santa Fe models, Nissan’s Armada full-size SUV, an updated RAM heavy-duty pickup, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Concept and perhaps the most interesting of all, Kia’s new Niro dedicated compact crossover.

On the other hand, for Chicago residents who would like to see new cars regardless of when and where they were first presented, the show will be jam-packed with fresh entries, ranging from production models like the Fiat 124 Spider, Genesis G90, Honda Ridgeline and Lexus LC500, to concepts, including the Kia Telluride, Acura Precision and Buick Avista.
