Fiat decided to spice up its already hot Abarth 595 model with a new limited edition pack called Tricolore.
Just 300 packs will be offered (available in the U.K.) in a choice of red, white, or …blue, and if you want to buy a 595 with this enhancement, it will cost you £15,150 (equal to $21,179). This time, the Tricolore moniker doesn’t refer to the Italian flag, but in fact borrows the three colors of the Union Jack.
The two models were launched with two short films entitled “The Real Italian Job” and follow the three variants of the model as they go through Turin and London in an attempt to deliver a stolen Abarth.
“With just 300 of the Tricolore packs available on the 595s, and at such a great price, we are sure we’ll attract a new wave of Abarth owners to come and join us. The hardest part will be deciding which colour to go for”, said Gerry Southerington, brand manager, Abarth UK.
Accessorized with the Tricolore bundle, the 140 hp 1.4 Turbo T-Jet 16-valve 595 comes with a wide array of “stylish equipment” – as Fiat says. The list includes 17-inch titanium “Formula” alloy wheels, red brake calipers, black Abarth side stripes and mirror caps and a unique steering wheel with Tricolore detailing. Power steering, air conditioning, CD and MP3 with six speakers and Blue&Me hands-free system all fall in the standard equipment bin.
