The relationship between automobiles and other vehicles has always been close due to the technological expertise shared between these industries.

So, it comes as no surprise to see boat-inspired elements in the car industry and vice-versa, and Cigarette Racing Team’s upcoming 41’ SD GT3 speedboat is the perfect example.

Due to the company’s affiliation with Mercedes-AMG, Cigarette Racing decided to design the watercraft after Merc’s own AMG GT model, with styling cues taken from the 2016 performance road car. Their mission? To Ignore gravity and “overcome nature on land and sea”.

You can deduce how the boat will look like by ogling at the company’s freshly released teaser. Judging by its name, it will be a 41-foot speed machine, which will most likely boast over 1000 horsepower. How do we know this? Well, it isn’t the first time Mercedes’ high-performance division leaves its print on a Cigarette Racing product, as the two manufacturer started their collaboration way back in 2007, and their last high-performance vessel was the 50 Marauder GT S concept – a 1550 hp behemoth powered by two V8 engines, also inspired by the AMG GT, that could achieve a top speed of 217 km/h.

The 41′ SD GT3 will be unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show, February 11th.
