Prior to the launch of the Lamborghini Murcielago 2001, Audi refreshed and updated the popular Diablo with the unveiling of the 2000 VT, complete with some new styling touches and a selection of improved components to alter its performance.

Still powered by a screaming 6.0-liter V12 engine mated to an all-wheel drive system, Lamborghini engineers installed an updated ECU and tweaked exhaust and intake systems to create a total of 575 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque – more than any other Diablo variant – despite the use of slightly less aggressive camshafts.

While the Diablo VT 6.0 came standard with all-wheel drive, customers could option rear-wheel drive.

As with the very best supercars, the Diablo was designed to be driven and not locked away in a garage and the following owner didn’t even let a bit of snow from him enjoy all screaming 575 horses, even being joined by a Ferrari 355!
