Datsun has introduced a stylish crossover at the ongoing Delhi Auto Expo that, despite billed as a design study, provides a look at the company’s future design language.
It’s not the first time we see it, as the GO-cross was first displayed in Tokyo last year.
The Nissan-owned carmaker was relaunched in early 2012 and sells cars exclusively in India, Indonesia, Russia and South Africa and while being a budget brand, with the GO-cross Concept it has created something to appeal to “young, ambitious, fun-loving people ready to take the next stop in their lives”, as per the press release.
Based on the as the Go small hatchback, it has new exterior design with more rugged looks. At the front, the show car includes HID headlights, separate fog lights and LED daytime running lights. It also includes a prominent grille with a chrome surround and a silver skid plate.
Moving towards the side and one will find flared wheel arches and a extended side skirts. Streamlined wing mirrors have also been fitted, the roof incorporates rails as standard while at the rear-end, the theme continues with a rooftop spoiler, bulging rear bumper and tinted taillights.
