Audi is performing a facelift on the entire A3 lineup and the newest model scooped is the S3 Sportback.
Caught on the streets of Copenhagen on a rainy day, the prototype reveals its quad exhaust layout, but the camouflage applied to both ends makes it very hard to spot specific changes.
However, since we are looking at a beefed up Audi A3 Sportback, we expect similar styling updates, which should include a front fascia inspired by the one of the new Audi A4, though while the regular version will adopt a similar grille and bumper, the hot hatch will gain more aggressive features. The interior will be slightly tweaked as well.
We don’t know if the four-ring brand has prepared an update for the 2.0-liter TFSI powertrain, but in its current form, it sends 300PS (296hp) and 380Nm (280lb-ft) of torque to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system through either a standard six-speed manual or an optional S tronic dual-clutch.
Audi presented the S3 Sportback at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. An exact reveal date for the newer variant hasn’t been announced yet.
