Mercedes will start the 2016 open-air season by presenting the new C-Class Cabriolet at the 86th Geneva Motor Show.
The convertible version of the C-Class was already scooped numerous times and a few days ago an official sketch was released.
It shares the same architecture with the rest of the C-Class range and it’s obviously based on the Coupe, set apart by the electrically-retractable soft top, which will be available in several hues.
Prospective buyers will get to order the BMW 4-Series Cabriolet rival with variety of four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines, and the lineup is expected to be completed at a later time with the addition of an AMG variant, developing 503hp and 700Nm (516lb-ft) of torque, from the 4.0-liter V8.
Joining C-Class Cabrio at Geneva will be the Mercedes-AMG S 63 Cabriolet Edition 130, which commemorates the invention of the automobile 130 years ago, and the Smart ForTwo Cabrio Brabus Limited Edition, which also celebrates its world premiere in Geneva.
In addition, Merc’s stand will also display SLC and SL to the same Swiss event, landing straight from the floors of the 2016 NAIAS and 2015 LA Auto Show, respectively, along with the Mercedes-AMG C43 4Matic Coupe, the V-Class Exclusive and the long-awaited E-Class, in its new generation, making its premiere on the Old Continent.
