Spurred on by the positive reception of the crazy snow-track equipped Nissan Rogue Warrior Concept, the automaker has unveiled two additional ‘Winter Warrior’ models for the 2016 Chicago Auto Show.
The new additions to the family are based around the Pathfinder and Murano and as with the Rogue Warrior Concept, have been installed with heavy-duty tracks from American Track Truck. The tracks measure 48 inches long, 30 inches high and 15 inches wide and just like Ken Block’s crazy RaptorTRAX, replace the car’s standard wheels and tires.
With the exception of new suspension setups and modified wheel wells, the ‘Winter Warrior’ range remain mechanically stock to the road cars.
As if the cars didn’t stand out enough, Nissan has also created matching matte red wraps for all three alongside special ‘Winter Warrior’ stickers. The cars are also adorned with available accessories like roof rail crossbars, rear bumper protectors and all-season floor mats.
Discussing the crazy creations, senior vice president of Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations for Nissan North America, Christian Meunier, said:
“Rogue, Murano and Pathfinder are proven all-wheel-drive crossovers that are very popular with customers, judging from exceptional sales results in 2015 and now in January 2016. With the Winter Warriors, we wanted to take that idea to the extreme, enhancing the vehicles’ advanced systems with special snow tracks, Genuine Nissan Accessories, and a custom exterior appearance.”
