An exceptionally rare US-spec 2014 Pagani Huayra is set to be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s on March 12.
Approximately 40 of the 100 Pagani Huayra models being built were purchased by U.S. buyers and this particular example is believed to have been one of the first to arrive on local shores.
On first impressions, it bares similarities to Alejandro Salomon’s 730S Edition but rather than having a complete, blue carbon fiber body, this one is painted in a shade dubbed Blue Argentina and includes some blue carbon elements, such as the side skirts and rear diffuser. The exterior is also characterized by the yellow stripes and brake calipers, and silver wheels.
The cabin is arguably even more beautiful than the outside and incorporates white leather on the seats, elements of the door panels, dashboard and steering wheel. The seats then include blue carbon fiber backs with the blue carbon extending to the doors, door sills, dashboard and the exposed transmission tunnel. As with all other Huayras, there are also a host of aluminum components.
This car has over $260,000 worth of options, including the $20,000 seven-piece luggage set and likely would have cost the original owner at least $1.6 million.
Given that this Huayra is the first to be auctioned, it’s difficult to predict how much it will sell for, particularly considering that BC and Roadster models are in the pipeline.
