Red Bull has officially unveiled their colors for the 2016 Formula 1 season, ahead of next week’s pre-season test session in Barcelona.
Right off the bat, the team has opted to go with a darker blue, as opposed to the blue-purple combo they were sporting last season. The darker blue definitely makes the team branding stand out more which is always a marketing win.
“There’s always a buzz in F1 at this time of year and launching the new car livery, race wear and a new team look, as we did today, gets the season started in a fun way,” stated Daniel Ricciardo during the car’s launch event in London.
Team boss Christian Horner added: “Seeing our new livery for this year alongside our new team wear from PUMA was a proud moment for us. There has been a lot of work behind the scenes to get ready for this, and it has all paid off with today’s event which I think has only built our excitement for the season ahead.”
Red Bull’s new RB12 racer will be powered by re-badged Renault engines under the TAG Heuer umbrella, which we’ll get to watch in action on Monday during pre-season testing.
