Two different versions of the Renault Kwid were unveiled at the 2016 Delhi Auto Show.

The first one is called the Kwid Climber and it is focused on off-roading, with high ground clearance, short overhangs, big bumpers, side protective mouldings and wide track.

The special Kwid has gained wheel arch extensions in electric blue, contrasted by the orange finish for the rest of the vehicle, and it rides on diamond-effect wheels.

Renault’s second variantis more at home on the asphalt of race circuits” and it was inevitably called the Kwid Racer. It has wide air intakes, honed aerodynamics, new spoilers, diffuser and 18-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in low-profile tires.

Inside it features bucket seats, four-point harness, roll cage, a totem console in the center of the dashboard that displays telemetry data, digital rev counter along with Alcantara seats and aluminum and carbon trims.

The two Renault show cars weren’t the only debuts the automaker made at the Indian event, as a new 1.0-liter SCe engine for the Kwid was introduced, along with the Easy-R, an automated manual transmission with five speeds.

The Renault Kwid has proved to be a successful model in India, where approximately 90,000 orders have been placed since it was launched, four months ago.
