Since your run-of-the-mill old Lada isn’t exactly the type of car you can take off-road during the winter, perhaps a…tank would do?
Of course, this isn’t actually a tank, not even a little bit. It’s simply running on a set of mobile-artillery tracks which is not only clever, but also very peculiar to look at.
The man’s name is Pavel Shavrin, and based on what we’re looking at, he’s probably one of the most ingenious people to cruise around the Ural country-side of Magnitogorsk.
Not only does this thing look unbeatable, it’s also based on a Lada that went out of style back when tanks were still charging the beaches of Normandy – “slight” exaggeration, but we’re pretty convinced he could have put pretty much any car shell up there.
Make sure to check the video’s comments section because there are one or two pretty funny remarks that we wish we would have thought of first.
Also, let’s hope no unfortunate dashcam-carrying driver ends up posting about how he ran into this thing on a dark and frozen Russian road, because this “Lada Tank” looks like the type of thing that would keep EuroNCAP employees from sleeping at night.
