The impending second-generation Porsche Panamera has been filmed in the midst of testing wearing very little camouflage in Stuttgart, Germany.
This particular prototype has been installed with a hybrid powertrain, as evidenced by the sticker on the rear and the various modes visible on the new interior display, including Hybrid Auto, E-Power, E-Hold and E-Charge. A readout showing an all-electric range of 38 km can also been seen.
As for the powertrain of this particular S E-Hybrid model, it will get a V6 petrol engine pared to a lithium-ion battery pack like the outgoing model, but in all probability, will be more powerful and have a higher all-electric range.
As the vehicle was filmed at night, its redesigned exterior can’t been seen in the best of light. With that being said, it is quite obvious that the black camo is sitting on top of a production-spec skin, sporting redesigned bumpers and updated headlights and taillights compared to the current Panamera.
Beyond its looks, we know that the second-generation Panamera will be underpinned by a new rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive platform dubbed MSB, helping the car shed some weight.
We can expect the new Panamera to launch later this year.
