In the midst of a range of previously-revealed concept cars at Subaru’s Chicago booth is the special edition XV Crosstrek.
The car remains largely the same as the run-of-the-mill model but includes some unique finishes.
Te XV Crosstrek Special Edition is painted exclusively in Pure Red, a color also carried through to the cabin thanks to red stitching on the gear lever, door panels and steering wheel. Additionally, red lights have been installed throughout the cabin as has a red inlay on the dashboard.
As far as the mechanical parts are concerned, it based on the existing 2.0i Premium model, it has the same 148 hp 2.0-liter boxer petrol engine joined to a six-ratio CVT.
Some key standard features include Lane Change Assist, Blind Spot Detection, keyless access, a powered moonroof and heated front seats.
Just 1,500 units will be produced with dealership deliveries set to commence in late spring 2016.
