Mercedes-Benz took notice of the increased popularity of 360-degree interactive videos and has created one with a short drive of the facelifted 2017 SL along the Californian coastline.
The roadster is presented in a “Google Street View-like style“, which allows users to control the camera and to move the image up, down, left or right.
The model shown here seems to be in the SL 500 version, which joins the SL 400 with its updated 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 35hp (35PS) and 15lb-ft (20Nm) of torque more than before, the SL 63 AMG and SL 65 AMG.
Mercedes-Benz revealed the updated SL in November last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The vehicle has gained a new grille, redesigned bumper and hood, relocated DRLs, updated taillights and a tweaked apron for the AMG models.
Besides the visual updates, prospective buyers can order the car in two fresh colors, Brilliant blue and Designo Selenite Grey Magno, along with a new range of alloy wheels.
Inside, the drop-top has new flat-bottomed steering wheel, colored leather and trim finishes, Apple CarPlay compatibility and Harman Kardon Logic 7 premium audio, offered as an option. Driving Assistance Package, with active steering and cruise control is optional too, along with Magic Sky Control roof.
The market launch for the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL, in the States will begin in April, with pricing to be announced close to that date.
