Alfa Romeo has been driving around Frankfurt with several prototype Giulias, catching the attention of our readers.
The model spied by Arun and his friend Pablo, is in fact the same exact car we showed you last week which was accompanied by an undisguised Quadrifoglio version.
To play it safe, let’s say that we are not yet 100 per cent sure if this is the base version of the Giulia, as the car in question wears exactly the same front bumper with the range-topping 503hp QV as shown in our previous article.
The smaller wheels which are doomed to host a smaller set of brakes and the different, less aggressive rear bumper are perhaps clear indications that this is the mainstream model which reportedly will debut next week at the Geneva Motor Show – possibly fitted with a sports kit.
The new Alfa Romeo Giulia is going to be offered with a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine offered with three different outputs starting at either 180hp or 200hp depending on which report tickles your fancy best. A 2.2-litre JTDm diesel engine will also be available in three different outputs, starting at 135hp or 150hp. Certain engine options will be available with AWD too.
What we do know is that US models will be available with a 276hp version of the 2.0-litre petrol engine, in RWD and AWD versions.
All we have to do is wait for next week’s Geneva Motor Show, unless of course, the new Giulia somehow slips ahead of the official reveal time. Stay tuned.
H/T To Arun and Pablo for the photos!
