To promote the XC90’s‘s ultra-luxurious edition introduction, the manufacturer has dropped a new gallery.

Dressed for the occasion and equipped with high quality upholstery, extended leather-covered surfacing, additional sound insulation and a Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system on top of the regular SUV amenities, the new range-topper promises “a new level of luxurious calm and comfort“.

Rear passengers get to enjoy the individual and adjustable seats, combined with massage function and specially designed headrests, along with two folding tables, cup holders with heating and cooling options and handcrafted crystal glasses from Orrefors.

The T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid powertrain is the only one available. for the Excellence. It offers three distinct driving modes that include Pure, Hybrid and Power, the latter being tuned to make the best use of the 410 HP output. No performance specs have been released, but the standard version of the SUV can sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.6 seconds, while offering a full electric range of up to 42 km (26 miles).

Volvo has chosen certain markets to launch the Excellence.
