VW has infused its Golf Sportsvan with some styling sportiness thanks to the R-Line package that adds new exterior and interior features.
Originally shown in September 2015, the new R-Line package for the Golf Sportsvan starts from €1,105 ($1,230 equivalent), in Germany, for the exterior features alone, while the complete package costs €1,800 ($2,005).
It was designed by VW’s R division and gives the Golf Sportsvan a sportier appearance, thanks to the R-Line front and rear bumpers, sill extensions, distinctive air intakes, anodized silver roof rails, dark red taillights, chrome-plated exhaust tailpipes and specific logo in the radiator grille.
VW offers the R-Line Sports Package with 65 percent tinted rear passenger windows and 15mm lower sports suspension. As an optional feature, customers can also order the 17-inch Salvador alloys or the 18-inch alloy wheels in Salvador, Marseille or Serron designs.
Changes were made inside too, as the people carrier has gained “Race” design seat upholstery, San Remo microfiber fabric inner side supports, an R-Line logo on the multifunction leather-trimmed sport steering wheel, Black Lead Grey decorative inserts, stainless steel pedals and foot rest and front door sill plates in aluminum that feature the same R-Line logo.
