Having presented the new generation E-Class earlier this year, Mercedes engineers can now focus on the development of a facelifted version of the flagship S-Class sedan.

Caught on camera somewhere in Germany, the latest prototype of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is eager to tease some of its fresh styling cues, which include slightly tweaked lighting units on both ends, complemented by modified bumpers.

When it comes to the interior, previous data suggests that the facelifted S-Class will benefit from the newly introduced gizmos in the smaller he E-Class, including a larger set of displays, a newer version of the infotainment system with an updated touchpad controller replacing the old rotary one, and a new steering wheel.

We don’t know yet if Mercedes-Benz plans to perform any changes under the hood of the new S-Class.
