Genesis Design Chief Hints At A Future Supercar

Only four months after its launch, the world’s latest luxury brand has already introducedthe G90 and G80, which replaced the Equus and Genesis respectively.

The third member of the new Genesis family will be based on the New York Concept that is on display at the Big Apple event these days and it previews the upcoming G70 3-Series rival.

A report published by Motoring, Chief Design Officer for Genesis, Hyundai and Kia, Peter Schreyer, indicates that the brand could be aiming even higher.

“We are just at the beginning and things like that (a supercar)… we need to talk about and develop more. It’s still some time away, something like this“, Schreyer said. We suspect they probably won’t wait as long as Lexus, provided things pan out as scheduled, of course.

A full scale attack is under way and, even if a supercar is some way into the future, if at all, the world has begun to take notice of Genesis.
