As the Alhambra turns 20, Seat celebrates its anniversary with a special edition model of the MPV that shares many of its mechanical parts with the Volkswagen Sharan.

Competing against the Renault Grand Scenic, Citroen Grand C4 Picasso, Opel Zafira and Ford S-Max, the 20th Anniversary special benefits from a number of design features and an extensive technology package, on top of the regular versions.

Some of the goodies that should attract prospective buyers include xenon headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels in high-gloss black, tinted side and rear windows and large panorama glass roof.

Inside, the MPV carries dark Alcantara upholstery with stitching in “light corn silk”, front sports seats with massage function, keyless entry and hands-free operated tailgate. The two rear sliding doors can also be opened and closed electrically.

The list checks safety and assistance systems such as Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition and Light Assistant. On board, Seat also offers a navigation system with the optional Full Link smartphone connectivity.

Seat’s special edition Alhambra is currently on display at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, though it’s eclipsed by the company’s first ever SUV, the Ateca.
