As a part of its centenary celebrations, BMW’s Japanese division rolled out a luxurious 5 Series that brings to mind the “Next 100 Years” 7-Series.

Dubbed the “Celebration Edition Baron” and aimed at the “real gentleman”, the model will be limited to just 200 units in Japan.

Like the rest of Japan-only Bimmers, it’s just a standard model loaded with lots of extras. BMW took the 184 HP, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder 523d and started ticking some option boxes, including (but not limited to) Fine Line Ansorajitto Wood trim and Dakota leather upholstery with Oyster or Veneto Beige finish on the inside, and either a Mediterranean Blue or a Mineral Gray paint for the exterior, color schemes that are meant to resemble gray and navy suits.

To make it look more dynamic, a set of 19-inch style 351M are in order, as well as adaptive LED headlights and BMW Individual aluminum line. The soft-close option could count for a delicate touch, along with dedicated interior aroma diffuser.

Japanese gentlemen will have to fork out ¥ 7,770,000 ($70,300) to get the Mediterranean flair of this 5-Series. We guess sex discrimination is out of the question, so dealers will be more than happy to accommodate female customers, too.
