Nissan’s luxury brand has seen a significant increase in global sales last month.
With more than 24,900 vehicles delivered worldwide, Infiniti has witnessed a 22 percent increase over March 2015, marking its 19th consecutive month with global year-on-year growth. March was also an all-time record month for the automaker in Western Europe and Australia, and it also marked best-ever sales for other regions, including the Americas, Asia & Oceania and Middle East.
Its largest single market remains China, where the brand sold more than 3,800 vehicles, a 14 percent increase over March 2015, while in Western Europe, Infiniti delivered more than 3,900 vehicles, a record month with a 232 percent increase. In the Americas, the automaker sold more than 15,100 vehicles last month, up 10 percent, while in Asia and Oceania, meaning Australia, Korea, Taiwan and other markets, more than 600 vehicles found new homes, up 20 percent.
In the first quarter of the year, Infiniti sold more than 57,200 vehicles, surpassing the previous time period and achieving the best ever January-March in its history.
“I am very encouraged by the record sales results in March and the excellent performance in the first quarter of the year. We are confident that we can continue and even accelerate this momentum as we will be launching an array of new vehicles such as the QX30 and the Q60 throughout the year“, said the brand’s President, Roland Krueger.
