Mercedes’ stand at this year’s Techno Classica will be filled with some of the most beautiful classic open-top machinery.
Gorgeous cars like the 1934 500K Cabriolet, the 1949 170S Cabriolet B and the most expensive German car of its time, the 1951 300S Roadster, will all be present, next to the brand’s modern convertible offerings, including the S-Class Cabriolet, the SL-Class and the C-Class Cabriolet.
Mercedes will even bring the Le Mans-winning racing version of the 300SL and the majestic 1969 280SE 3.5 Cabriolet which was the flagship version of the W111 series and the first car in the world with front and rear crumple zones.
Finally, to celebrate the launch of the C-Class Cabriolet, there will be the only 190E Cabriolet ever built, originally revealed in 1988 and powered by a 2.6-litre six-cylinder engine with 166hp.
