Toyota has opened the order books for the Hilux pickup truck and new Proace Van in the United Kingdom.
Following its unveil in European specification from last fall, the latest Toyota Hilux is offered in four trim levels, labeled Active, Icon, Invincible and Invincible X, with pricing starting from 19,177 ($27,935) for the Single Cab with a six-speed manual transmission.
Prices for the popular pickup truck can go for up to 28,185 ($41,055), in Invincible X guise, equipped with the six-speed manual, but opt for the automatic and the vehicle will set you back for 29,435 ($42,875). All variants of the Hilux in the UK are equipped with a single 2.4-liter D-4D diesel rated at 150 PS (148 HP) and 400 Nm (295 pound-feet) of torque, while in other European markets, the 177 PS (174 HP) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque 2.8-liter diesel is also part of the package.
Toyota’s new Proace comes in three body lengths, Compact, Medium and Long, starting from 18,660 ($27,180) in the Base grade, equipped with a 95 PS (94 HP) 1.6-liter engine, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. For the 1.6-liter 115 PS (113 HP) 6-speed automatic, customers will have to pay 20,189 ($29,410), while the range-topping Comfort Long, powered by a 120 PS (118 HP) 2.0-liter unit, with a six-speed automatic, costs 22,931 ($33,400).
