Those who are still deciding whether to place a deposit any time soon shouldn’t expect to touch their new Tesla earlier than 2018, but with the firm’s record of delaying new product and the huge popularity of the car can push that date even further beyond, which can only please GM, as their competitor, the Bolt, with a similar price and range, will hit the market sooner.
Like the Model S, the third member of the Tesla Motors family will be offered as a saloon, but if they decide to go for something sportier and drop the rear doors, then we would be looking at a version similar to what X-Tomi did in this rendering. Which is probably the first of many, as a. more designers are going to try their hands at the popular EV, and b. the saloon’s styling has not been finalized yet, which gives them an even bigger playing field.
