With pre-orders approaching the 300,000 mark within the first three days, you’d think that people are already sufficiently excited about the new Model 3 and everything they’ve learned about it during its presentation.
While there’s plenty of stuff we’ve yet to know about the production-ready Model 3, it’s safe to say it’s going to be a very practical and efficient car, but that it will also stick with a typical 4-door body, even if technically it’s more of a liftback.
With the Model X already aimed at people with large families, chances are that an Estate version of the Model 3 isn’t getting made anytime soon, but if you’re looking to dream big, these two renderings might just tickle your fancy.
The so-called ‘Sportwagon’ looks like something that would be widely appreciated in some European markets – perhaps even more than the real Model 3 itself. Families would certainly like the extra luggage space, and some might even be enticed by the body shape itself.
As for the ‘Crosswagon’, it may not appeal to everyone so let’s just leave it at that. Though to be fair, Tesla has yet to address the needs of those who frequently go off-road and need high ground clearance to go with a very capable all-wheel drive system.
