If, for some reason, you ever wanted to own an amphibious Lamborghini Countach, now’s your chance. A word of warning though: you’ll never be as cool as Roger Moore and his submersible Lotus Esprit.

But before getting on with the article, we feel we have to calm Lambo’s (possibly) raging fans, because this isn’t a genuine Countach. It isn’t even a genuine Lamborghini, therefore no rare exotics were harmed during its creation.

Anyway, according to the seller on eBay, the vehicle’s build costs were horrendous, and it was never used since it was sold 15 years ago – that explains the old low-res pics. Moreover, the current owner goes on to say that it will need a little bit of TLC to make it spotless, but afterwards it will be realistically priced and worth 50k – that’s British pounds, mind you ($71,165).

The car is “correctly DVLA registered” in England as a Ryan Rover V8 Sports, it sits on a multi tube semi-space frame and it has a composite body molded from a Countach 5000QV – albeit with a few modifications, including a re-styled nose and “Anniversary” black panel.

Its long list of specifications also includes AVO gas coil-overs with push-rod suspension – fully adjustable for any geometry setting and ride height – discs brakes (vented on the front), and a leather dash with carbon inserts and a smoke ejector for special effects.

Oh, and we almost forgot, the Amphicar also comes with “hydraulic suspension activators for suspension compression whilst water borne”, twin-prop drive, twin-rudders and “stunning looks” – according to the seller.

The current bid for the Amphibious Countach is £18,995 ($27,018).
