Ever since it was announced, the 488 GTB’s philosophy was associated with the original mid-engine Ferrari “berlinetta” – the 308. Now, Ferrari has finally linked the two models with a truly unique and special model.

Unveiled at the Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées along with the French premiere of the GTC4Lusso V12 four-seater, this 488 GTB was created in association with the Italian car manufacturer’s Parisian dealer Charles Pozzi, as an exclusive tailor-made program imagined to pay homage to the original 308 GR4 Pioneer racing car.

Driven by driven by Jean Claude Andruet, the original 308 GR4 won to times the Tour de France Auto – in 1981 and 1982.

Painted in the same color as its iconic predecessor, the French racing blue and white Ferrari 488 GTB – completed with the Pioneer sponsorship decals – even has the matte gold rims and black matte calipers to match. Moreover, it’s not all talk and no go, as it will be pitted on five-day rally over 4 circuits and 9 stages on closed roads.

Even the interior of the supercar is made to resemble the one in the 308 GR4, whit a modern interpretation of the red seats made in red historic fabric, complemented by leather, matte carbon, and Alcantara.
