The next generation of the Audi RS4 Avant has been caught on video lapping the Nurburgring.

Judging by its license plates, it seems it’s same car previously scooped by our photographers, and if you feel there’s not enough growl coming from under the hood, there’s a reason for that, as the naturally aspirated V8 engine has been dropped in favor of a new V6, with an electric and a conventional turbocharger.

The new mill is expected to churn out as much as 500 HP, channeled to all four corners through a dual-clutch automatic transmission, but despite the extra oomph, it will be less thirsty. Obviously, there’s no word yet on the zero to sixty time or the car’s top speed, but we expect to find out at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, this October, when the veils come off.

It will gain distinct flared fenders at the front and rear, along with a more aggressive front spoiler and a unique grille, joined by the interior tweaks that should include sportier front seats, a different steering wheel, new instrument dials and sportier trim accents.
