Valentino Rossi’s VR46 Riders Academy recruits get a taste of some much-anticipated Marvel comic book action as they try to recreate the atmosphere of Captain America battling it out with Iron Man.
This video is just a teaser, which means we’re going to get a lot more action once the kids hit the track, but until then, watching them put on the superhero-inspired gear will have to do. Once they’ve “suited up”, Il Dottore walks in and leads them all outside where the riders will probably battle in a series of challenges.
The footage is mixed in with a few scenes from the actual Captain America: Civic War trailer, and done so in a manner that makes it seem like there’s a similar atmosphere between what’s going on in the movie and what’s about to unfold at the Tavullia track.
Not to nitpick, but it may have been cooler if the riders would have gotten highly personalized riding gear, and not just ‘Civil War’ long sleeve t-shirts and custom helmets, but we’re still curious to see what Rossi has planned for them.
As for the movie itself, it will feature the widest array of Marvel Comics characters ever seen together on-screen and will hit US theaters nationwide on May 6th.
