With numerous prototypes scooped out in the open over the past few months wearing less and less camo, it’s obvious Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to wrap up the development of the new E-Class Estate.
It will be the second addition to the E-Class family, after the sedan – if you discount the China-only long wheelbase that was revealed a couple of weeks ago.
Design-wise, it will mirror its four-door brother up to the C-pillar, while the smaller C-Class Estate should serve as inspiration for the tail.
A rear self-leveling suspension will be part of the package and power will come from the same engine lineup found on the sedan, topped out eventually by the range-topper E63 AMG. Reports indicate towards a summer unveil for the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but its public debut is expected to be made in October, at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
