Its HQ at Ingolstadt has been chosen by Audi as the place for pulling the covers off the second generation A5.
In order to mark the event, a group of Hungarian artists, “Maxin10sity”, will present a 3D light show on six consecutive evenings. They will start on May 25, in front of the Audi Forum building, with the help of 55 video projectors, displaying image sequences, energetic music elements and flowing colors.
Responsible for mood setting on the first evening will be a Munich DJ, who will play electronic music, while schedule on the following days will include classic cars presented by Audi Owners Club on the Piazza and insights provided into the short-film festival “20min|max”. Food trucks will ensure gastronomic pleasure and a special exhibition in the Audi museum will showcase 12 historic coupes.
“This art experience is a thank-you to the Audi employees and the people of Ingolstadt. In Ingolstadt, we have developed the new Audi A5 Coupe, we produce it here, and we will present it here as a new design icon to the world press for the first time on June 2“, said the Audi AG Head of Communications, Toni Melfi.
The new A5 Coupe will take the fight to the two-door coupe versions of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 4-Series and Cadillac ATS. It will be underpinned by the same MLB platform as the A4 and will share most (if not all) of its engine lineup.
