Known for his sarcastic comments that are sometimes considered offensive, Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that his favorite moment on Top Gear was hugging Cameron Diaz.
The American actress appeared on the show back in 2010, along with Tom Cruise, as the two competed in the “Star in a Reasonably Priced Car” segment, during Series 15, Episode 5, which aired on July 25.
Diaz made it all the way up to the board, with 1:45.2, but Tom Cruise claimed the record moments after, with 1:44.2, by putting the car on two wheels in the final corner. After finding out how well she did behind the wheel of the Kia “Cee [apostrophe] D”, Cameron jumped and hugged Jezza, to the former TG presenter’s delight, who ranked it above anything else.
“Cameron Diaz hugged me“, Clarkson said when asked about his favorite Top Gear moment, during a Q&A on Facebook.
Jeremy Clarkson was sacked from BBC’s Top Gear, after more than 175 episodes last year, following the famous “fracas” incident. Currently, he is joined by his former TG colleagues, James May and Richard Hammond, and by producer Andy Wilman, at Amazon, for a new car show. The first episodes are expected to air this fall.
