The positive reports for the 503hp Italian performance sedan keep coming, with Evo releasing their view on video.

After driving the new Giulia Quadrifoglio on the Balocco test track, Henry Catchpole delivers the good news: Alfa Romeo has finally built a proper sorted and fun car after years and years of waiting.

The twin-turbo V6 engine is reportedly really smooth in its delivery while the soundtrack also said to be far more engaging that the one in the BMW M3, one of the main rivals of the range-topping Giulia.

Even the eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox -the only option for RHD markets- changes gears like a double-clutch unit and offers Ferrari-levels of engagement from its large paddle shifters behind the wheel.

Of course this is only a quick first driving impression of the car, with complete tests to follow once the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio reaches the UK market, including the obligatory comparisons with the German establishment.
