Marking its first presence in Japan, the Ferrari GTC4Lusso made its debut at a special event held in Tokyo between May 10 and 12.

Unveiled in the land of the Rising Sun in a “venue decorated to resemble an Italian palazzo with a breathtaking aerial acrobatic performance“, as Ferrari says, the four-seater was surrounded by 200 guests who took a closer look at its updated body.

We are very happy to hold the GTC4Lusso Far East premiere here in Tokyo. Japan is an important market, and this year also marks our 50th anniversary here. The GTC4Lusso is the only GT car which has this exceptional level of performance, and with its remarkable versatility, I am confident it will be extremely popular here, as it is proving to be in other similarly sophisticated markets“, commented Ferrari Far and Middle East Hub CEO, Dieter Knechtel.

The GTC4Lusso’s presence in Japan follows the shooting brake-style Ferrari‘s Asian premiere, which took place last month at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show, where it was joined by the California T HS, the F12 Berlinetta and the two versions of the 488, Coupe and Spider. The “Lusso”, which means “luxury” in Italian, is a refreshed FF that benefits from rear-wheel steering and “Dual Cockpit” architecture inside, while retaining the 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, which has received almost 30 HP more, totaling 680 HP.
